When I considered becoming a voice teacher I had already had a career as a classical singer, a performance artist and a long and intense involvement with meditation. Combining my studies at the Functional Voice Institute in Lichtenberg, Germany with my training in the Feldenkrais Method® I began developing what became an effective and successful vocal training method.

Both aspects of my training confirmed my belief that learning has foremost to do with becoming observant and sensitive, i.e. aware to the complex and layered on-goings in our mind and body. In my evolving understanding, the physiological function and anatomical structure of the vocal performance and the interrelation of the voice, body and psyche became equally important.

In the following years as a teacher being exposed to the practical demands of actors having to project their voice on stage, singers with specific deficiencies or even teachers with chronic hoarseness, I needed to expand my understanding and knowledge. I learned to use a wide range of vocal teaching tools and to focus on the specific needs and personality of the student working with me.

Having worked a long time in theater productions as a speech trainer I became aware that I can be of enormous help coaching actors in developing their text-understanding especially in one-person scenarios, monologues and classical pieces, whether it be in English or German.
I offer diction and pronunciation lessons in German not only to actors but also to singers of all nationalities.
